Due to an increase in unlicensed radio stations and illegal operations by licensed radio stations, there has been a rise in the level of disturbance and interference on legitimately used radio waves. Many complications have arisen from unwanted radio waves, such as malfunctions caused by the proliferation of digital and electronic equipment.
Damage caused by radio waves can, in some instances, be life threatening. The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications thus responds swiftly to eliminate the source of interference when an interference or disturbance report is filed.
