Construction of a nationwide radio monitoring network
A sensor station installed atop a steel tower or building is connected to a center station installed in each Regional Bureau of Telecommunications via an ISDN line. The purpose of the structure is to maintain radio monitoring facilities nationwide. Each time an unlicensed radio wave or jamming is reported, the center station sends control information, such as necessary frequency measurements, to the sensor station and displays the direction of the unlicensed radio wave source and also monitors voice. DEURAS-R measures frequencies between 25 MHz and 2 or 3 GHz, and also performs auto-supervisory operations.
