As the outline of Industrial Facilities Emitting Radio Waves has described, the permission of the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications is required for installation of the industrial facilities emitting radio waves in principle.

However, individual permission for installation is not required when the person installs the industrial facilities emitting radio waves that conforms to type requirement designated by the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications.

Application procedure and statutes concerning type specification are indicated below:

1 Application for type specification of industrial facilities emitting radio waves

(1) Conditions: Article 46.2. of Regulations for Enforcement of the Radio Law
(2) Procedure: Article 46. of Regulations for Enforcement of the Radio Law
(3) Form: Announcement of Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, No. 544 (19 September 2002)

2 Application for approval of type specification change of industrial facilities emitting radio waves

(1) Recognition standard: Article 46.3.2. of Regulations for Enforcement of the Radio Law
(2) Procedure: Article 46.3.1. and 46.3.3. of Regulations for Enforcement of the Radio Law (apply correspondingly Article 46. of Regulations for Enforcement of the Radio Law)
(3) Form: Announcement of Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, No. 544 (19 September 2002)

3 Change notification of the name of those who have received type specification of industrial facilities emitting radio waves

(1) Procedure: Article 46.3.4. of Regulations for Enforcement of the Radio Law
(2) Form: May be determined by the applicant
